Banco de Costa Rica

The Banco de Costa Rica was founded on April 20, 1877 with the name of Banco de la Unión, which it kept until 1890. It was born with the purpose of being a new banking option among the existing ones and its initial functions were to lend money, keep current accounts, receive deposits and make collections, among others. In recent years, it has also been concerned with modernizing and innovating its services and customer service, seeking greater agility and comfort through the use and application of its modern technology.
