Position Description

Project Manager responsible for working with the Uptime Institute Professional Services team and clients to deliver contracted engagements and client deliverables. This position will report to the VP, Project Management Office located in Seattle, WA.

Duties include the following:

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • In collaboration with senior consultants, develop project plans, objectives and schedules that support client and company objectives and business unit/department needs. Work with the key stakeholders to define the scope, business objectives and required project results to establish project schedules and budgets. Estimate, negotiate and obtain resources to meet project requirements.
  • Manage resourcing and monitor project schedules, progress and costs to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget by the most effective means available. Maintain, adjust and update project plans as needed.
  • Consolidate, communicate and manage all issues and risks affecting the project. Communicate project status to project participants and stakeholders accurately and timely.
  • Support development and implementation of new project management system and process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate project records in the appropriate systems to facilitate continuous planning, reporting and momentum.
  • Lead project teams and sub-teams in project execution, ensuring compliance with established company project management methodologies and standards. Ensure that all project documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Works cross-functionally with Professional Services team, business clients and other key stakeholders to ensure successful completion of projects.
  • Compile and deliver periodic and ad hoc reports as needed including project and department level status, forecasts, metrics, KPIs, etc.
Summary of Experience

  • Experience as a project manager (3+ years).
  • Demonstrated management skills and the ability to work effectively to build relationships with executive management, department managers and project managers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years’ experience as a project manager.
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is required.
  • Experience with Project Management methodology based on Project Management principles required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.
  • Capability to successfully manage between 125 – 150 projects annually and 20 – 30 concurrently.

Uptime Institute is now seeking a Sales Development Representative professional with experience in identifying program and driving net new revenue growth in the IT Infrastructure industry. This position will help expand the company’s enterprise engagement, and services revenue with the enterprise, across new and legacy services.

Based in Ballard/Seattle, The Sales Development Representative will report to and support the COO in  prospecting, qualifying, and generate new direct and indirect/third-party sales leads and sales opportunities for Uptime Institute’s Efficient IT offerings, as well as management consulting for organizations in banking/finance, retail, transportation, utilities, petrochemical, defense, government, etc.

This position will also be responsible for scheduling briefings and meetings with prospects.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with COO, Managing Directors, and regional sales resources, as well as global executive team, to identify strategic opportunities to further client relations and drive new business via telephone and mass communication such as email or social media to introduce UIPS solution and secure sales appointments within target markets.
  • Creating compelling product proposal to drive revenue growth, improve sales effectiveness and ensure strong client relations.
  • Facilitate technical presentations to ensure team-wide, continued education on current and upcoming service offerings.
  • Support the logistics of productive relationships with key decision makers.
  • Maintain timely and accurate contact and sales information and tracking through Uptime Institute's CRM (SalesForce).
  • Facilitate follow-up and provide roll-up reporting to senior management.
  • Consistently achieve qualified opportunity quotas to ensure product- and service-level revenue objectives.

Requirements and Qualifications:


  • 2+ years’ experience in Sales Development, Sales Administration or Sales Coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of supporting or interacting with senior enterprise stakeholders.
  • Capability to recognize consulting services opportunities consistent with the mission of enterprise engagement.
  • Preference given for candidates with an intimate knowledge of procurement of consulting/professional services.

Product Marketing Manager (Ballard/Seattle Based)

As our Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for new product introduction related marketing activities for Uptime Institute’s portfolio of datacenter services products. You will craft the product messaging and positioning for our products. You will produce sales enablement materials, and conceive and develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand for these offerings. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into business benefits is crucial.  In your role as Product Marketing Manager you will be the expert in our buyer’s personas and what it takes to motivate them into action. You’ll understand what they need, why they buy, and will transfer that knowledge to the sales organizations and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Product Introduction – all of the materials to represent our offerings across the target audiences
  • Product Value Propositions - Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market
  • Sales enablement – communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of our products
  • Market intelligence – be the expert on our buyers and their buying criteria; be the expert on our competition and how to beat them
  • Demand generation – develop the strategy and manage the execution of marketing programs that drive demand for our products

Requirements

Uptime Institute is now seeking a business development professional with experience developing consulting business in the data center industry. This position will help expand the company’s North Asia’s sales activities across the current and developing service portfolio.

Based in North Asia, this position will be responsible to promote concepts and services, and close contracts (per company policies) for Uptime Institute services. The focus of this business development professional will include data center industry organizations and professionals for both existing and new accounts in the region.

The Director of Business Development will generate new direct and indirect/third-party sales opportunities for Uptime Institute’s M&O (Management & Operations) professional services in North Asia.

The M&O includes both operations assessments (Due Diligence Assessments, Preliminary Reviews), operations certifications (Management & Operations Stamp of Approval) and strategic support in the development and implementation of a robust Facilities Management Programs (Facilities Management & Operations ([FMO] Advisory).

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with North Asia sales team, as well as global executive team, to identify all strategic, long-term, or portfolio-wide opportunities.
  • Develop and manage incoming leads and ongoing industry outreach, including education of the industry regarding these offerings and the IP upon which they are based.
  • Manage maturing leads, supporting scope and price negotiation culminating in a proposal, and initiating the contract phase.
  • Maintain timely and accurate sales information and tracking through Uptime Institute's CRM (SalesForce).
  • Facilitate follow-up and provide roll-up reporting to senior management.
  • Travel in support of Uptime Institute events and on-site business development efforts both domestic and select overseas destinations are requisite for this position.

Requirements and Qualifications:
