The founding of the Central Bank of Honduras on July 1, 1950, gave rise to the nationalization of the means of payment and the reorientation of monetary policy, exchange and credit of the Republic. In addition to the functions established by law, the Central Bank of Honduras since its creation has complemented its important tasks with intense cultural and formative work.
